Lenna has been working as teacher in our Rainbow class since the school was established. Lenna is a qualified teacher, and has become Head of our Nursery school, in December 2018. Lenna will oversee the full running of the school on a daily basis. , Lenna is a single lady, and has no children, she is a very passionate and dedicated member of our team. Lenna looks after 40 children ages 4-5 years, and works hard at teaching children the english language, and the foundation of pen to paper control, she also is excellent at using jolly phonics. She is supported by Fatoumatta a teaching assistant.
Fatoumatta Saidy joined our team in April 2016. She works as an assistant to Lenna, in Rainbow Class. Fatoumatta lives in Banjul, is single with no children. She has completed her high school education, and would like to progress further. Fatoumatta, would like to attend Teacher College, and if she is able to be enrolled, the charity have agreed to support her over the next 2 years. Fatoumatta, is a very reliable teacher, and very caring and gentle.
Christine joined our team in December 2016, as a teaching assistant in Butterfly Class. Christine is single and has no children. , Christine is now attending Teacher Training College and is in her first year, kindly sponsored by the charity. Christine is very gentle, very loving, and very caring towards the children. Her confidence is growing. She is a total asset to the team.
Fanta is our cleaner, and what a fun loving character she is. She lives in Ebo Town with her family. She works over and above the call of duty. We all know Fanta is in the room, when she arrives.
Siahou, has worked for us from day 1. He resides in a small room just outside our school building. Siahou, is a great support to teams when we go out, as he assists with the lifting of rice and aid.
Joella was employed back in September 2019, on a temporary arrangement to cover maternity leave of Christine, our Butterfly teacher. Joella has in the 6 months employment worked with the team in a gentle and caring manner, and has now been offered a contract of employment starting in September 2020 school year as a teaching assistant working alongside Christine in Butterfly class.
