Ebrima started working as Head of school in August 2021. He lives in the heart of Ebo Town, and has a shop supporting the community. Ebrima has worked within the educational system of The Gambia for many years, and is qualified to teach children a lot older than nursery school age. Ebrima is hard working and has a drive and ambition to help children in his own community of Ebo Town. He is teaching in our Catapillar class (nursery 2) which is our 5 to 6 year old.
Fatoumatta joined our team in September 2021. Fatoumatta is a qualified primary school teacher, and completed her diploma in 2018. She is experienced to teach not only nursery school aged children but up to year 6. She is from Ebo Town Community and has so much to offer and is excited to be apart of the team. Her aim is to one day progress to a Head teachers role. Fatoumatta is teaching in Butterfly class (nursery 3) our older children age 6-7 years, and will ensure they leave our school ready to attend year 1.
Abba is a young lady, who has recently qualified as a nursery school teacher at The Gambian teaching college. Abba lives 1 hour away from the school and travels each day to teach our Rainbow class (nursery 1) 3-4 years. She is very gentle, kind and brings alot of ideas and thoughts. Abba is ready for the challenge teaching in the younger class brings, especially language barriers. We have supplied a TV so that this class can be stimulated further as a teaching aid. Fatou has been employed as a cleaner and works from 8am to 1pm daily. She looks after all the cleaning needs of our school, which has 7 toilets 2 showers and 3 huge classrooms, plus staff room and office. She cleans all the tiles on the outside verandah daily. A complete asset, and much needed member of our
Muhammed has been very hands on with the school build, and lives 100m from the school. He is enthusiastic and hard working and has been employed as a care taker/security and works from 7am to 6pm daily. He loves to entertain the children at break times and is up for a game of football. Total asset to our team.
Without Pa, our school build would not have been completed. Pa is a trusted and hardworking man and friend. He is honest and reliable. He has been employed as Trustee consultant. He works with our Head of school and together we have a strong management team over seeing the whole running of the school. Pa has family living in Ebo Town and knows the community very well. He is the strength and support. Words can not thank this man, for his love, time effort and commitment.
